I am Phil Benton, a landscape and wildlife photographer from the North East. My journey began when I started training as a painter and decorator at 15 years old. However, everything changed when I received a life-changing diagnosis of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.). It was after this diagnosis that I discovered my love for the art of photography, which has been both unique and challenging for me. My condition compelled me to dig deep and uncover a passion for capturing the beauty and heartbeat of the land I had grown to love. Photography quickly became my life.
I regularly attend trade shows and take my stall to events where people know me and come back time and time again, just to see my pictures. My unique images of local wildlife and landscapes are highly sought after and feature in my online shop as well as several shops throughout the North East. I am extremely proud to have even been published in Landscape Photography of the Year.
I have a big following on social media and receive regular positive feedback on my posts, which has motivated me to explore other fields within photography such as corporate, event, and pet photography. I continue to absolutely love what I do and I’m learning new things every day. You will always find me with my camera in hand to capture my next amazing shot.
